Robert Downey Jr - Downey Jr Delighted By Parkerbroderick Pairing

ROBERT DOWNEY JR. is delighted his former girlfriend SARAH JESSICA PARKER found love with MATTHEW BRODERICK - because the actor is "a lot more gifted and grounded" than he is.

The couple dated for seven years until they split in 1991 - but the once troubled Downey Jr. admits he was still deeply in love with the Sex + The City star.

Parker married fellow actor Broderick in 1997 - with whom she has one child, five-year-old James Wilkie.

Downey Jr. tells Parade magazine, "I was in love with Sarah Jessica, and love clearly was not enough. I was meant to move on. And, after some heartache, she was meant to find her home with a great star.

"He (Broderick) is a lot more gifted and grounded than I ever was. They have a great kid."

Downey Jr. is now with his second wife Susan Levin, who he married in 2005.

Lee slams Eastwood for 'ignoring' black soldiers in films

Rihanna - The Things They Say 8335

"People always want to know what it is and what it isn't. People think they know. They try to guess. Sometimes you just need your privacy. But it comes with the territory. There's no privacy when you are out in the public." R+B star RIHANNA refuses to be drawn on her romance with fellow singer CHRIS BROWN.

Sir Paul Mccartney - Mccartney Wants A Light-hearted Funeral

Former BEATLE SIR PAUL MCCARTNEY wants people to celebrate when he dies - because there is nothing worse than a "glum" funeral.

The 65-year-old singer has already made plans for his funeral as he wants it to be a light-hearted affair - preferring the service to include jokes and not serious tributes about his life.

And MCCartney admits he got the inspiration for an uplifting memorial service after witnessing a "celebratory" ceremony in Ireland.

He says, "I like the Irish approach, where it's celebratory. I remember an Irish woman once wished me well by saying, 'I wish you a good death.' And I said, 'Say what?'

"It's actually a great thing to wish someone. I thought, 'Well what would I like?' Jokes, a wake, music, rather than everyone sitting around looking glum."

Anger follows Lennox label reports

Music industry giant Song BMG has described as "ludicrous" media reports that it had dropped singer Annie Lennox after working with the artist for 25 years.
Billboard reports that the Daily Mirror had quoted the singer as saying that the company had ignored her calls and emails and that she was out of contract following the October release of her album 'Songs of Mass Destruction'.
Sony BMG confirmed it no longer had a contract with Lennox but the company said it hoped to work with the singer in the future, and on her current album.
In a statement, Sony BMG said: "The quotes attributed to Annie's dissatisfaction with her label arose out of a trip in December to South Africa and have no relevance to the expiry of her contract."
Sony BMG Music Entertainment UK Chairman Ged Doherty said: "We are immensely proud to have worked with Annie over more than two decades. She now has a choice as to whether she wants to continue to work with us in the future. We very much hope that she will."
Lennox's management company, 19 Entertainment, suggested the singer's quotes had been taken out of context.
